Humans of UCHS

SL HOUCHS“Being a black women in society is honestly like being at the bottom of the barrel, but I love being a black woman!! In our society women in general are always last in line, but when you’re a black women it puts you even further back. This is because you have to fight for your rights as a women, but they are harder to get simply because you’re black. Also, in this society, black women always get labeled as the ANGRY BLACK WOMAN! They consider us angry when we fight for what is right, but when we don’t we are considered weak! Black women are very powerful because we carry so much that others can’t handle, but I love everything about being a black woman. They carry so much power and originality you won’t believe!” Sarai Lewis Class of 2020
